this all started after l topped up oil and is now blowing smoke out exhaust can any 1 help?

the engine is busted check at autozone they are good

There is something wrong with it or it is just old.

Sounds like you overfilled your oil. This will cause problems. Drain some of the oil out if it is overfilled.

You have overfilled the oil capacity of your engin recheck the oil level on a flat surface

Is the fuel pump mechanical, could be a bad gasket

otherwise l do not know how oil could be coming from it

You probably have bad rings, if you see blue smoke

maybe if you thicken the oil, it might help, get some engine honey

The fuel pump is mechanical and is operated by a cam in the engine block. The cam is lubricated by the oil. The fuel pump has a diaphragm made of a rubbery type material. The diaphragm has obviously failed. You need a new fuel pump. Also check your oil. Typically a failure like that will allow gasoline to enter the oil and can destroy the bearings. Do not drive the car until you get it fixed and change the oil and filter after replacing the pump.

How much oil did you put in? Most of the time the pump will leak oil when the diaphragm ruptures. Should not smoke out the exhaust. Did the oil go in really slow like the drain holes in the head are all plugged up?

is this coming out the little hole on the pump could be a bad diaphram inside the pump cant fix it replace the pump and empty out some of the oil with a suction pump and recheck the level you could remove the filter(oil) and drain out the quart it holds and install a new oil filter;.hope this helps your fuel pump l beleive is driven from the engine with the arm of the pump into the engine when the diaphram breaks with to much oil in the engine it goes to the path of least resistance

What color is the smoke? Is it white? You might also have a bad head gasket.

if your fuel pump diapram is leaking ,gas will leak on the small hole on the bottom of the pump,,,

if you over fill the oil ,there is a possibility that oil will come out of the small hole

over fill will cause your problem

have a compression test on your car.

Wait 'till the motor is cold and the check the oil. You probably overfilled it. If so, drain it. If that is not it, it is probably a fuel pump, but l doubt it.
