What is your opinion on the Mazda X5

l do not know much about the RX5 but l own a Mazda 6 that has been nothing but troubles. l have had 5 different issues while under warranty, a factory recall, and now have 2 more issues with it right after the warranty expired.

Stay away unless you have a lot of time, money, and patience!!

If u mean the MX5 (Miata), l think they r great. But then l own ones that r 17 years old (18 in model years). The one we bought as the 2nd owners. At 140K miles there have been no issues with it. We r still on the first clutch & there has been no unusual problems ( l replaced the water pump & front seals this year, with a cars this old that is unusual).
They r fast on mountain roads & their ability to hold the road is most limited by driver skill. These cars will corner better the l care to go ( l have taken turns labeled at 30 mph at 90 mph).
But they r not dragsters. l prefer the older ones because they weigh less & the later years have been de-tuned so that novice drivers do not have as much to get in trouble with.
In short we love it & l do not care what anyone thinks about me when l am driving them. The wife loves to drive them also & enjoys letting her hair flow just so the Celica, Mustang drivers & such know that a lady beat them.
