This is a 1997 and this dealership is selling it for $995 obo. Thats low..so Im kinda thinking its a junker. But they said l could come test drive it and check it out. But Im stuck between a buick and a mazda which one is better than the other? If anyone could let me know. Thank You.

They stopped making the Millenia when l was selling Mazdas back in 2003. Ask to see a complete Carfax report on this car which will be quite a few pages. Most dealers will just show you the pages that say everything is cleared. Make sure you see where the car has been since it was first sold (In service date). They probably paid no more than $100.00 for the car. Get something more up to date.

Any Millenia for $995 is probably not worth it. Something is seriously wrong with it. The 1997 year was a good one and unless that car is beaten to death, it should be worth much more than that. l know alot about some models of Buick is and Mazda's. My good friend works at a Buick/Mazda dealer and l pay close attention to what goes on there. Email me if you need any specific advice or referral.

The automatic transmissions are junk due to the fact they are produced by ford(just the tranny). The rest of the car is wonderful though!!

The tranny is like to go after 130k miles. So if it has a new rebuilt tranny or is got like 60k miles on it go for it! And change the tranny fluid and new filter every 30k.

That is a very good deal. The mileage much be over 200,000.
What is the mileage?
l bought a 1996 Mazda Protege for $1900 and it had 121,000 miles. Now it has 134,000 miles and nothing has gone wrong yet. Mazda is are reliable cars.

l would buy the mazda, as long as its ok mechaniclly, make sure transmission is ok, to test engine should run smooth with no noises, to check for a oil burner , road test it get it normal temperature, back it up near a wall or fence, let it idle for 2 to 3 minutes then stand by the drivers door and put your foot down on the gas peddle, stab it 2 or 3 times to approx 4000revs, if smoke poors out, leave the car thankyou.
