mazdaspeed is your best bet but if your just lookin at the base models 06 through 08 there wont be a huge differnce in speed, l personally like the 07 6 cause my uncle bought one, a red 5 speed, it handles so nice around coners and wonderful accel. l was thinkin about buying one but im not a big fan of hatchbacks, never the less great car. good luck with that. hope this helps

All years are similar, with mild refreshes as the line got older. Go for the 2.3L engines with the five speed automatic for a great balance between power and fuel economy. The rest of the options are up to you, although the later the model year, the less bugs there are as with any car. If you want slightly more power then the V6 is right up your alley.

All years are the same from 2003-2008. There is no such thing as a bad year for a car.

There will be a complete redesign for 2009.

It comes with a 4 cylinder and a V6.
The V6 is faster, but uses more gas.

The 4 cylinder is the slowest, but still pretty quick. And a bit more reliable.

Also, the Mazda 6 is one of the best handling FWD sedans.
